Ismaya Catering Grand Indonesia

One more place, that I have recently visited is the Ismaya Catering in Grand Indonesia. The place is very nice, it has such a specific ambiance.


The location is located at the Grand Indonesia, east mall. Once you are in the place, you should check out the interior, it is very unique, complete with a colorful frisge, with a bricked wall, wooden table, and ven charis that are made from softdrink container. All of these combination is creating a very unique experience.

During my visit, I try the dessert, which Soursop ice. It has a mixed of
soursop fruit, coconut, and some milk inside. Very refreshing!

Good recommendation to try.

Magnum Cafe Grand Indonesia

Yesterday, me and my wife went to Magnum Cafe in Grand Indonesia (West Mall) for our dessert.

We arrive there at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and the waiting line for dine-in was already so..so..long. It seems that many people in Jakarta is still craving for having dinner at this place.

So, finally we decided to take it as take away, in which the waiting line was very short.
Once we have arrived at the counter, we were asked the following:
1. To choose the basic Ice Cream, whether it is Chocolate or Vanilla
2. To choose the chocolate, whether dark choco or milk choco
3. To choose the topping ( I chose pistachio nut and almond)

So finally, after choosing our choice, we went to the pick-up counter and took our ice cream.

The place, actually is very different from other ice cream place. It is being decorated as-if you are in a castle, complete with the waiters who are wearing clothing like in an England old days where people are working in a castle.

The ice cream is nice, but it is a bit too sweet for me, but other than that, everything is just fine.

Looking at the long waiting line, I guess people must have like it very much.

Pesto Autentico Italian Restaurant

My next journey for lunch is at the Pesto Autentico Restaurant.

The place is located at the new building, called Thamrin nine, which is located right next to Grand Indonesia, Bundaran HI.

In terms of the place, the location is very strategic, because it located right at the center of the city. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very good, nice chairs and also you can directly se the kitchen from where you sit.

In this restaurant, as usual, they are giving you one basket of bread as a complimentary.
The bread is very nice, especially after you dip it in a olive ol mix with balsamic vinegar.

Since, it was my first visit, I try to order canneloni and my wife is ordering the risoto. The risoto taste very nice, and the portion is also not too big.

As for the canneloni, the taste was great, you can feel the beef inside mix with the melting cheese very good. Inside the plate, they give you two canneloni, which is enough for me.

Din Tai Fung Plaza Indonesia

Today, I have lunch with my friend in Din Tai Fung, in Plaza Indonesia.

I would really recommend this place, since the food is really nice and
the design of the place itself is very cozy.

Price is a bit too high, but understandable considering that this belongs to an international food chain.
